An exhibit of mixed media work at 440 Gallery 2020. The title of the show references drawings on found slate assembled with bone hangers. This body of work is in honor and memory of the lives affected or lost during the African diaspora that began with enslavement. The slate drawings and shell paintings represent the fragmented lives and disrupted cultural continuity of those human beings stolen from their homes and transported around the world.
Paintings from an installation of 50 portraits exhibited as part of the Untitled Residency in Zhujiajiao China in 2018.
